Correlation Database Software Company illuminate Solutions Acquires Synera Systems Intellectual Property and Assets
Now-defunct software company pioneered the development of exploration database technology.
BARCELONA, SPAIN, 24 June 2007—illuminate Solutions (http://www.i-lluminate.com), pioneer of correlation database management technology for automatically designing and building data warehouses and data marts, today announced that the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the intellectual property and assets of Synera Systems, a software company no longer in business.
"This is an important step in securing legal rights to intellectual property that can be used as some of the underpinnings of illuminate’s correlation database engine and data access tool suite," stated Anton Torrents, illuminate's chief executive officer.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed during the 2nd quarter of illuminate Solutions’ 2007 fiscal year, which began on 1 January 2007.
